From England. In Tokyo.
I aim to get my stories out of the sideboard and into other people’s consciousness.
I’ve been working on a novel about the Fates, set in 1990s rural England, since December 2012. I’m also slowly manifesting a collection of short stories. I’ve spun a piece of my soul from coagulating blood and tried to weave it into a net to catch those wriggling thoughts which seep out of a certain quality of the human experience.
Often when I visit a place, I find myself writing poetry or fiction about it. Sometimes creative writing is more revealing than factual accounts. Sometimes meaninglessness – or sometimes a pervading sense of injustice – results in translations of an emotion or an event by way of writing it.
Enjoy all you find!
